Tour of Visual KPI

Try the Demo
This demo provides role-based views of real-time performance data from a typical operational plant-floor. Whether you're a quality manager, executive, process operator or supply chain partner, the intuitive color scheme and grouping help you pinpoint problems before they escalate.

First check out the video demo, Or try Visual KPI on your own device by pointing your Internet browser to: Transpara Visual KPI Demo. This is the same display that you will see on your SmartPhone or Pocket PC.

Web-based Visual KPI runs on any desktop, laptop and more than 250 mobile devices. While we have extensively tested the application to ensure maximum compatibility, please be aware that some devices may not be equipped with the modern browser technology necessary to support Visual KPI. In these cases, please contact Transpara to discuss alternative ways to broadcast KPI Scorecards and Trends to older handhelds.

VISUAL KPI DEMO: EXPLANATION OF SCREENS
Demo Screen 1: List of Views and Roll-UP Status
The top-level menu displays the Views which are configured for Visual KPI.

Views can represent any category which makes sense to your company.

In the Self-paced demo, the Views are broken in to categories:
1) Geographic Collections of Assets (top 4 Views); and 2) Various Views which represent different needs for different Visual KPI Users (bottom 4 Views).

The top level shows a True Roll-Up of all KPI states for each of the Views. The top bar labeled "All Views" depicts a True Roll-Up of the entire collection of KPIs managed by this web site (all Views).

Demo Screen 2: List of Scorecards and Roll-Up Status
Click on the View labeled RegionNE to reach the next menu display.

This menu contains all the Scorecards within the RegionNE View. Each Scorecard in this example represents a single Plant Site, so the Scorecards are named for each Plant location, e.g. Exton.

Each bar at this level represents a True Roll-Up of all KPI states for each of the Scorecards. The top bar labeled "All Scorecards" depicts a True Roll-Up of all the KPIs in all the Scorecards in RegionNE. This bar is identical to the bar next to RegionNE on the previous top-level page.

Demo Screen 5: Scorecard - Collection of KPIs
Return to Demo Screen 2 and Instead of the KPI Map, try clicking on the Scorecard labeled Exton to drill into the list of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the Exton Asset.

The KPIs show critical information required to measure the performance of the Exton asset.

Status is either automatically calculated by the Visual KPI server or it can be externally determined and passed through to Visual KPI.

Demo Screen 6: Bar Chart - Collection of KPIs
Select the Bar Chart icon to see the KPIs displayed as a series of bar charts. This is very useful when the KPIs have a range over which they are expected to operate, for example they may have physical limits associated with them, like tank levels.

KPIs which do not have enough data to render a bar chart degrade gracefully and show the user just what information is missing.

Demo Screen 7 KPI Historical Trend
For the KPI named CTG1 Fuel, select the symbol corresponding to the current status of the KPI, just to the right of the name. This is likely the Status = Good icon, which represents a "Good" state for the KPI. By clicking on this icon, or any of the status icons in the same column, Visual KPI renders a detailed history of the KPI over time.

The default time range is configurable, and once the trend is displayed, the user may select from a predefined set of ranges with the Defined Range icon, or a custom range of their choosing with the Custom Range icon.

In addition, there is a URL field which allows each KPI to have up to 10 associated documents or web pages which contain details of the KPI calculation or recovery info in the event of out-of-range behavior.
