This is usually due to an errant patch to Adobe's Flash player. http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1300160
Note: On older browsers that do not support HTML5, Visual KPI uses Adobe Flash to provide some of the latest functionality of the trend object.
The most recent case was a very quick emergency patch for Internet Explorer only.
Example: If you install Flash Player 11.8.800.168, you'll notice that FlashCanvas displays only the top-left area of the canvas in most cases. I believe it is a bug of Flash Player, because the rumor is that this version of Flash Player is terribly buggy.
One possible solution is to temporarily downgrade your Flash Player: http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/archived-flash-player-versions.html. You can download a previous version of the Flash Player from this page, and it should work without problem until Adobe releases a stable update.
