GeoMaps & 'Near Me' - Location-Aware Data
When you think of successful mobile applications (for business and consumer) several characteristics come to mind:
Small amounts of data, timely information, alerts, context, and more. Always on this list, but rarely included for business applications is location-aware data. With Visual KPI's new GeoMaps feature and 'Near Me' GPS integration (included in Pro and Enterprise editions) this is no longer the case.
Mapping Your Data Takes Just Minutes
Using the Visual KPI Designer, you can now enter static or dynamic (for tracking things that move) GIS coordinates to any data type, including Groups, KPIs, Values, Trends, Tables and Links. See it in action in the video below:

You can easily get the latitude and longitude of your assets, enter them in the Designer, and Visual KPI's intelligent server will take care of the rest, mapping your data inside the application on Google Maps and using your GPS or IP address to filter data by its distance from you. See the 'Near Me' feature in action below:

How do I get it?
If you are an existing customer, just upgrade to the latest version of Visual KPI and you will have both the GeoMaps and 'Near Me' features.
Any tips on finding latitude / longitude coordinates?
If you have an address, the best place to find them is Bing Maps. Once the address has been located, you will see the coordinates on the left of the screen (just copy and paste them into the Visual KPI Designer). If you want to point to them on a map, just go to Google Maps, right-click on the object you want and choose "What's here?" from the menu. The coordinates will then appear in the search bar at the top.
