The Visual KPI Designer allows you to edit your Visual KPI data.
To open the Visual KPI Designer, click the Start button, navigate to Programs then to Transpara Visual KPI and select Visual KPI Designer.
The Visual KPI Designer’s Task Pane is used to interact with the Visual KPI Server.
In the Web Service area, enter the URL for your KPI Server or Web Service, with the KPIWS.asmx extension.
The Workbook area is used to interact with all open Worksheets.
The Session Record area displays a list of activity that has occurred between the KPI Designer and the KPI Server since the Excel file was opened.
The Scorecards tab is used to interact with the Scorecards worksheet.
The KPIs tab is used to interact with the KPIs worksheet.
Within the Views tab there are buttons that allow you to interact with the listed View data; the buttons will not affect the other open worksheets.
The Trends tab is used to interact with the Trends worksheet.
The Tables tab is used to interact with the Tables worksheet.
The Links tab is used to interact with the Links worksheet.
There are six areas within the Configuration tab: Interfaces, Trend Ranges, Default Range, Attributes, Web Site Configuration, and KPI Colors.
When entering your Visual KPI data, you can enter text much like you would in any Excel worksheet. You simply type the data into a cell.
The Workbook buttons can affect one or more of the open worksheets.
Visual KPI allows you to retrieve KPI data from different systems, even within a single KPI.
Attributes are additional categories of information that will be associated with your Scorecards and KPIs, allowing you to customize the definition structure.
Contacts can be referenced within your KPI Data, allowing you to quickly determine who to contact regarding a specific piece of KPI data.
Trend Ranges are used to define the time period of data to be used in a Trend graph.
Visual KPI trend pages use the date range that is defined as the Default Trend Range.
