01-03: Auto Adjusting Screen Contents
Portrait and Landscape Views
The Visual KPI Website supports the use of Landscape or Portrait views. While viewing the web pages in your mobile device you can switch between portrait and landscape, as needed. The Visual KPI Website pages will automatically adjust to take advantage of the available screen space.
Auto Adjust to Window Size
Beginning with version 3.1, the Visual KPI Server automatically resizes the screen contents to display within the current size of your browser. As the browser’s window size decreases, the contents are scaled down to fit. As the browser’s window size increases, the contents are scaled up to fit.
Auto Refresh Screen Content
You can configure your Visual KPI Server to automatically refresh the Visual KPI screen contents for your desktop or mobile device connections, allowing your users to see the most up to date information. These settings are made in the Visual KPI Designer, in the Web Site Configuration page.
If you have set the Mobile Device Screen Refresh Rate or Desktop Device Screen Refresh Rate to a value other than 0, the user will also have the option to manually refresh the page using the Refresh button.
Clicking the Refresh button forces the Auto-Refresh time period to reset.
For desktop users, you can choose to force the auto-refresh to start when a user connects to the Visual KPI web site. The refresh time period resets whenever the user moves to another page. For mobile devices, the user must force the start of the auto-refresh, by clicking the Start icon in the lower left of the screen. ![]()
